Texas: Charlie Strong tells CBS Sports that quarterbacks coach / assistant head coach for offense Shawn Watson is “gonna be in charge” of playcalling, but a Texas spokesperson tells the Dallas Morning News that all indications are that offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Joe Wickline will call the plays.
Fordham: Per source, Sacred Heart tight ends / special teams coordinator Darin Edwards will join the Fordham staff as defensive line coach.
Rice: Rice head coach David Bailiff has officially promoted offensive grad assistant Anthony Steward to running backs coach.
San Diego State: Rocky Long has announced some staff changes. Special teams coordinator Kevin McGarry moves to director of player personnel, and graduate assistant Zach Arnett moves to linebackers coach. The program has also added Meridith Bartman as assistant for operations / assistant to the head coach and Emily Daniels as assistant for recruiting.
Mississippi State: According to CBS’ Jeremy Fowler, Dan Mullen has agreed to a one-year contract extension through the 2017 season. Since Fowler's report, the university had denied the information to the Clarion-Ledger, which reports that preliminary discussions with Mullen are underway.
Nebraska: According to CBS' Gregg Doyel, Bo Pelini has signed a contract extension through the 2018 season.
Utah State: Per source, Utah State wide receivers coach Jovon Bouknight will add the title of passing game coordinator, while corners coach Kendrick Shaver will add the title of defensive passing game coordinator.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Buck Pierce will retire as a player in the CFL and join the Winnipeg staff as running backs coach.
Charlotte: Brad Lambert has promoted offensive quality control assistant Johnson Richardson to tight ends coach, and strength & conditioning intern Aaron Curry will now serve as the defensive grad assistant.

Montreal Alouettes: Northwood offensive coordinator Greg Quick has joined the Montreal staff as linebackers coach.
Brevard College: Per source, Midwestern State defensive grad assistant Joe Battaglia has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Brevard College. Battaglia previously spent two seasons as the defensive coordinator at Juniata College.
Southeastern Louisiana: Per source, Ron Roberts has promoted Patrick Toney to safeties / special teams coordinator. Toney served the last couple of years as a student-assistant.
Duke: David Cutcliffe has promoted offensive grad assistant Jeff Faris to wide receivers coach.
Arizona Cardinals: Two-time 110 meter hurdle gold-medal winner (1984 and 1988 Olympics) Roger Kingdom has joined the Cardinals' staff as a speed coach.
Minnesota: According to Gophers247, Minnesota assistant Pat Poore and Brian Anderson has swapped responsibilities. Poore is now coaching the running backs, while Anderson is coaching the wide receivers.
Stanford: Offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Mike Bloomgren has added the title of associate head coach.
Georgia State: According to Ben Moore of PantherTalk.com, former Detroit Lions wide receivers coach Tim Lappano has accepted the wide receivers job at Georgia State. Lappano has been coaching since 1981. He has served as part of the NFL staffs in Detroit, San Francisco, and Seattle. He has also served as the offensive coordinator at the University of Washington and Oregon State.
Georgia: Per source, former Mississippi Valley State offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Alex Jackson has joined the Georgia staff as an offensive quality control assistant. Jackson previously spent one year as a quality control assistant at Arkansas and also served as the co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach at Langston University. He is a former UGA player.
Georgia: According to the Athens Banner-Herald, running backs coach Bryan McClendon and tight ends coach / special teams coordinator John Lilly have received $15,000 raises to $250,000 in annual salary.
Marshall: Per source, William & Mary running backs coach Chris Barclay has accepted the running backs job at Marshall. Barclay is a former All-ACC running back at Wake Forest. He spent three seasons as a part of Jim Grobe's staff, the last as a defensive grad assistant before joining the William & Mary staff in 2012.
Missouri: According to the Columbia Daily Tribune, Gary Pinkel's new contract runs through 2020 and is worth $3.1 million annually. The assistant coaching pool increases from $2.66 to $3.2 million annually. Defensive coordinator Dave Steckel ($600,000) and offensive coordinator Josh Henson ($550,000) each get $50,000 raises as part of two-year contracts.
Coastal Carolina: Former Bowling Green offensive line coach Bill Durkin has joined the Coastal Carolina staff as running backs coach.

Florida: Per source, Casey Callahan has joined Will Muschamp’s staff as a player personnel assistant. Callahan is the son of Armwood High School (FL) head coach Sean Callahan. Casey just finished his playing career at Stony Brook.
Youngstown State: Eric Wolford has announced some staff changes. CoachingSearch first reported that Kenny Carter (wide receivers / pass game / co-special teams coordinator) and Mike Zordich (safeties / co-special teams coordinator) would join the staff. In addition, offensive quality control coach Dan Gerberry has been promoted to tight ends coach, special teams coordinator Jamie Bryant has moved to defensive coordinator, and offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo has added the title of run-game coordinator.
Florida: According to the Tampa Bay Times, offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Kurt Roper will earn $590,000 in base salary. According to Florida Today, outside linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Coleman Hutzler will earn a base salary of $230,000, and offensive line coach Mike Summers will earn a base salary of $190,000.
10-second rule: The NCAA proposal to allow 10 seconds for substitution between snaps has been tabled, according to multiple reports. It will not be voted on and will not be in place for the upcoming season.
New Hampshire: Per source, Fordham defensive line coach Peter McCarty will join the New Hampshire staff in the same capacity.
Maine: Per source, UCF defensive coordinator Paul Ferraro will return to Maine as defensive coordinator, the role he held for the past two seasons.
UCF: According to the Orlando Sentinel, defensive coordinator Paul Ferraro has left the program for personal reasons. Linebackers coach Tyson Summers has been promoted to interim defensive coordinator and will be in that role through spring football. In addition, Temple offensive line coach Allen Mogridge has joined the UCF staff as defensive ends coach, and UCF defensive line coach Lorenzo Costantini will shift to defensive tackles.
Auburn: According to Auburn Undercover, former Homewood High School (Ala.) head coach Doug Goodwin will join the Auburn staff as director of high school relations.
Southern Illinois: Southern Illinois officially announced the hiring of former New Mexico State tight ends / special teams coordinator Keith Murphy as tight ends / special teams coordinator and Northwestern special teams quality control Ashton Aikens as wide receivers coach.

Utah: According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Utah offensive coordinator Dave Christensen received a 2-year deal worth $500,000 annually.

San Francisco 49ers: Jim Harbaugh tells Sports Illustrated there is zero chance he will leave the 49ers before his contract expires, denying friction within the organization.
Toledo: Bluffton head coach Tyson Veidt has accepted the linebackers / recruiting coordinator job at Toledo.
Penn: Per source, Johns Hopkins offensive coordinator Dan Swanstrom has accepted the quarterbacks job at Penn.
Missouri: According to PowerMizzou.com, Gary Pinkel has agreed to a new deal that will pay him $3 million or slightly more annually. The length of the contract is unknown, at this point. The Missouri assistants are expected to receive pay raises in the near future, as well.
SMU: According to Justin Hopkins of 247Sports, former UCLA running backs coach Steve Broussard has joined the SMU staff as running backs coach.
Michigan: Per source, director of football operations Nolan Jones is no longer with the staff.
Penn State: Per source, Western Michigan director of football operations Anthony Crespino will join the Penn State staff as director of player development.. Crespino spent the 2013 season at Western Michigan. He previously spent one year as an assistant director of football operations at Texas State under Dennis Franchione.
West Virginia: According to the Charleston Daily Mail, senior associate head coach Tom Bradley will earn $600,000 in 2014 and $400,000 in 2015. There is a clause that, if Dana Holgorsen resigns, Bradley’s contract would end 180 days later or until the end of the contract term, whichever is sooner.
North Texas: According to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy, Dan McCarney has received a new five-year contract through 2018.
Grand Valley State: According to his Twitter account, former Notre Dame College defensive line coach E.J. Whitlow has accepted the defensive line job at GVSU.
Minnesota: According to Andrew Krammer of 1500 ESPN in Minneapolis, Jerry Kill will promote defensive grad assistant Mike Sherels to linebackers coach. Sherels played for the Gophers from 2004-2007. He joined the Minnesota staff in 2011 as a special assistant to the head coach.
Ohio State: Former Northern Colorado defensive ends coach Jon Carpenter has officially joined the staff as a defensive grad assistant.

Woodson spent the last five seasons at Charleston Southern. He previously coached at Millsaps College (MS) and was a 2-year starter at safety at Ole Miss during the David Cutcliffe era.

Lafayette College: Virginia offensive grad assistant Mike Saint Germain has joined the Lafayette College as a defensive assistant.

New York Giants: Tom Coughlin tells reporters at the Combine that he has agreed to a one-year contract extension.
Arkansas: According to the Arkansas Democrat Gazette, new defensive backs coach Clay Jennings will earn $320,000 annually as part of a contract that runs through June 30, 2015. His buyout is $100,000 if he leaves before Feb. 15, 2015 and $50,000 between Feb. 16, 2015 and the end of the contract, but the buyout is waived if he leaves for a head coach or defensive coordinator job.
Sam Houston State: According to KatFans.com, Kentucky defensive / special teams graduate assistant Matt Powledge will be named special teams coordinator at SHSU.
Wisconsin: According to the Herald-Dispatch (W.V.), Wisconsin will name Marshall running backs coach Thomas Brown to the same position.
Michigan: Brady Hoke has announced the coaching roles for 2014. Roy Manning will now coach the corners, while Curt Mallory coaches the safeties. New offensive grad assistant Michael Switzer will assist with the offensive line, while offensive grad assistant Kevin Koger will continue to assist with the tight ends. Defensive grad assistant Jerry Milling will assist with the linebackers, while defensive grad assistant Ernie Lawson will assist with the defensive line.

Cleveland Browns: Toledo assistant Stan Watson will serve as an intern for the Browns, per source.
Kansas: Former Washington offensive coordinator Eric Keisau has accepted the wide receivers job at Kansas.
Arkansas: The school has announced the hiring of TCU cornerbacks coach Clay Jennings as defensive backs coach at Arkansas.
Saskatchewan Roughriders: The team has announced that former Edmonton Eskimos defensive backs coach Brad Miller will be the Roughriders’ linebackers coach.
Air Force: Troy Calhoun has announced some changes within the staff. Mike Thiessen is the sole offensive coordinator, and Steve Russ is the sole defensive coordinator. Matt Weikert moves from defensive line to outside linebackers, and John Rudzinski moves from outside linebackers to defensive backs. Former Texas strength and conditioning coach Tim Cross will be defensive line coach, and former Penn State linebackers coach Ron Vanderlinden will be inside linebackers coach. In addition, Capt. Drew Fowler, has been named assistant linebackers coach.
New England Patriots: The team has announced the hiring of former Cleveland Browns general manager Mike Lombardi as an assistant to the coaching staff.
FIU: Former Tampa Bay Bucs defensive line coach Randy Melvin has joined the FIU staff as defensive line coach.
Chattanooga: Head coach Russ Heusman has signed a contract extension through the 2018 season. Huesman will earn just over $200,000 annually.
Indiana: North Texas safeties coach Noah Joseph has accepted the safeties job at Indiana.
Colorado: Colorado has extended the contract of Mike MacIntyre by one year through December 31, 2018.

San Jose State: Per source, graduate assistant Andrew Rolin will indeed be promoted to full-time running backs coach, filling the remaining full-time position at SJSU.
Atlanta Falcons: According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, former St. Louis Rams general manager Billy Devaney is joining the Atlanta Falcons as a regional scout.
San Jose State: Don't be surprised if head coach Ron Caragher promotes offensive grad assistant Andrew Rolin to full-time status. Rolin coached the running backs as a grad assistant in 2013.
UConn: Per source, UConn head coach Bob Diaco has offered former Notre Dame player Tyler Stockton a defensive grad assistant position beginning in May.
Alabama: Georgia State wide receivers coach Keary Colbert will join the Alabama staff, reuniting with Lane Kiffin, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Colbert will presumably serve as a quality control or grad assistant. Kiffin coached Colbert in the early 2000's at USC.
Georgia State: According to the AJC, grad assistant Brock Lough has been promoted to running backs coach.

Kentucky: If Bradley Dale Peveto joins the LSU staff, which is likely, it will be interesting to see if Mark Stoops targets University of Houston linebackers coach Vernon Hargreaves. Stoops, DJ Eliot, and Hargreaves coached together at Miami (FL) in the early 2000's. Hargreaves has led the special teams units at East Carolina and South Florida. Colorado State running backs / special teams coordinator Jeff Hammerschmidt could also emerge. Hammerschmidt served as the special teams coordinator at Arizona under Mike Stoops while Mark was on the staff.
Nicholls State: Per source, current safeties / special teams coordinator Steve Adams is a candidate for the defensive coordinator job.

Columbia University: Per source, SUNY Cortland defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach Ola Adams will join the Columbia staff as wide receivers coach.
Arkansas: According to the Arkansas News, linebackers coach Randy Shannon will earn $400,000 annually with the addition of the title of senior associate head coach, an $85,000 raise. The deal includes a buyout of $100,000 until Dec. 31, 2014, when it drops to $50,000 through June 30, 2015.
Stanford: Per source, Stanford is strongly considering former Texas defensive backs coach Duane Akina and Weber State defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach Erick Lewis for the defensive backs job. Lewis has previous stints with Eastern Michigan, Louisville, the Green Bay Packers, Bucknell, Ball State, and Michigan State. Akina coached the defensive backs at Texas from 2001-2013.
UAB: UAB officially added Charles Dunn as inside linebackers coach and David Reeves as defensive line coach. Both coaches served under Bill Clark last season at Jacksonville State.
Michigan: According to the Detroit Free Press, Brady Hoke's job title is expected to be renamed the J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Football Coach, following a $10 million donation.

Georgia: According to the Athens Banner-Herald, inside linebackers coach Mike Ekeler will earn a salary of $250,000 annually.
Cleveland Browns: Per source, Davidson College offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur has accepted a coaching assistant position with the Cleveland Browns.
NFL: According to Sports Business Journal, the NFL paid Roger Goodell $35.1 million, plus $9.1 million of deferred pay, for the 2012 fiscal year.
Pitt: The school has announced that former Cleveland Browns running backs coach John Settle has accepted the same position at Pitt. Oklahoma State: The school has announced the hiring of Georgia Southern offensive line coach Bob Connelly to the same position. Connelly joined the Georgia Southern staff last week. Texas Tech: According to the Don Williams of the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Kliff Kingsbury has promoted inside receivers coach Eric Morris to offensive coordinator. Morris will also now coach the entire group of receivers. Kingsbury will continue to call the plays.
Oklahoma State: Per source, Air Force offensive coordinator / offensive line / associate head coach Clay Hendrix has interviewed for the offensive line job at Oklahoma State. There is also one other coach that has interviewed.
Oregon State: Offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh will remain at Oregon State, declining an opportunity to join the Oklahoma State staff.
Army: In an interesting move, CoachingSearch.com has learned that FAU defensive coordinator Jovan DeWitt will join the Army staff. All 32 NFL organizations have hired their #1 offensive line guy and the only major college offensive line job that remains unfilled is at Oklahoma State. Perles does have experience in the CFL, so he could be heading back to the Canadian League with the Toronto Argonauts.

Oregon State: Per source, former Tampa Bay Bucs wide receivers coach John Garrett has emerged as a strong candidate for the offensive coordinator job at Oregon State. Garrett has previously served stints with the Bengals, Cardinals, University of Virginia, and Dallas Cowboys before joining the Tampa Bay organization under Greg Schiano. Garrett is a finalist for the position.
Richmond: Several days ago, CoachingSearch.com reported that former Penn State quarterbacks coach Charlie Fisher had emerged as a candidate to join the Richmond staff. Fisher has now accepted a position at Richmond.

Duke David Cutcliffe stated today that offensive coordinator Scottie Montgomery will coach the quarterbacks. For now, grad assistant Jeff Faris is coaching the wide receivers. Laura Keely of the Raleigh News & Observer reports that Cutcliffe stated today that Faris will coach the wide receivers during spring practice, which has already started at Duke. It's possible that Cutcliffe will hire a different coach besides Faris after spring ball.
Oklahoma State According to Jimmie Tramel of the Tulsa World, Oregon State offensive line coach Mike Cavanaugh could be heading to Oklahoma State.
Minot State Culver Stockton linebackers coach Byron Thomas has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Minot State, per source.
Kansas Kansas wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator Rob Ianello will move off the field and now serve as the director of research, focusing on recruiting. Charlie Weis will coach the wide receivers. Running backs coach Reggie Mitchell adds the title of recruiting coordinator. In addition, Bruce Feldman reports that Weis is trying to hire a wide receivers coach for very little pay, a grad assistant type of guy or coach that is unemployed but receiving compensation through 2014 from his previous job.
Syracuse Per source, with offensive coordinator / associate head coach George McDonald adding the responsibility of coaching the wide receivers, Syracuse will add a tight ends coach.
Toledo Director of high school relations Bryan Gasser will move on the field and coach the tight ends. In addition, director of football operation John Kuceyeski will shift to director of high school relations, while defensive grad assistant Greg Brabenec will now serve as the director of football operations.

In addition, the Houston Chronicle reports that former Cleveland Browns defensive quality control Daron Roberts will join the Texans as a scout.

Stanford: CoachingSearch.com has learned that Carolina Panthers assistant wide receivers coach Lance Taylor will join the Stanford University staff. Taylor is expected to coach the running backs for David Shaw. Prior to coaching with the Panthers, Taylor spent three seasons with the NY Jets, where he worked with current Stanford offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Mike Bloomgren.
New Haven: Per source, former Rhode Island running backs / specialists coach Eddie Allen will join the New Haven staff as special teams coordinator.
Memphis: Per source, Appalachian State corners coach Bryan Brown has interviewed for corners job at Memphis.
Montana State: The school has announced the hiring of Tennessee graduate assistant Cody Kempt as wide receivers coach. CoachingSearch.com reported last week that Kempt had emerged as the leading candidate.
BYU: Per source, South Alabama video director Errol Seaver has accepted the same position at BYU.
