Chris Boniol, who recently parted ways with the Dallas Cowboys, will join the Oakland Raiders staff as the assistant special teams coach, a source has informed CoachingSearch.com.
Boniol had been with the Cowboys organization since 2010.
In Oakland, he takes the place of departed special teams assistant Keith Burns.
Boniol becomes the latest addition to Dennis Allen’s revamped staff.
Earlier in the week, Allen hired former Detroit Lions defensive backs coach Marcus Robertson and former Minnesota Vikings defensive backs coach Joe Woods.
In Oakland, Boniol will work alongside veteran special teams coordinator Bobby April, who most importantly is a product of New Orleans and Chalmette High School.
