On Tuesday, Taylor Stubblefield accepted the wide receivers job at Utah.

For Stubblefield, a former standout wide receiver at Purdue under Joe Tiller, it’s the eighth different coaching job that he has accepted since 2007. confirmed the hiring on Tuesday evening.

Stubblefield’s journey includes calling the moving truck each of the last four off-seasons including twice this off-season.

In successive years, Stubblefield (32) has moved Mount Pleasant (MI) to Albuquerque (NM) to Winston-Salem (NC) to Yipsilanti (MI) for a couple of weeks and now Salt Lake City (UT).

Overall, Stubblefield has coached at Central Washington (2007), Eastern Michigan (2008), Illinois State (2009-2010), Central Michigan (2011), New Mexico (2012), Wake Forest (2013), Eastern Michigan (a couple of weeks in 2014) and now joins the staff at Utah.

Again, this means that Stubblefield has packed his bags eight different times in eight years.

But if you look closely, it’s hard to blame him. His progress is as follows: Restricted-earnings FCS assistant, grad assistant in the MAC, full-time assistant at the FCS level, assistant in the MAC, assistant in the WAC, assistant in the ACC (staff was let go), assistant in the MAC, assistant in the PAC-12.

But still…

How would you like to move eight times in eight year? How would your wife like to move eight times in eight years?
